I just wanted something sweet...
I had known for years that eating sugar was not good for me, it made me feel slow and unhappy, and I wanted to stop putting this harmful stuff into my body! But birthday parties, family gatherings, and holidays would come around, and I found myself saying, "well maybe just one cupcake wouldn't hurt..." This cheating behavior got really bad, really quick, and soon my diet was just a distant memory! I really wanted to be able to connect with my friends and family through eating sweet treats, but I didn't want to sacrifice my body in order to do so!
After years of health issues from systematic candida, and experimentation with too many diets to count, I have landed with my roots firmly planted in a low-carb lifestyle. On my journey to health, I have been led to extremes including exercising excessively 2-3 hours per day every day and fasting for 2-3 days
at a time!! That's crazy and my health really suffered throughout the process!
I wouldn't want anyone else to suffer the way I did, and that's why I've spent the past 5 years creating recipes and working as a nutritional analyst! Now I'm here to help you on your own journey to a happy, healthy, low-carb life!

But then it all changed...
and I finally can eat desserts again!
I did some research. Actually, a LOT of research! I kind of went crazy looking for ANY solutions I could find so that I could have my cake, and eat it too! I wanted gluten-free, sugar-free, low-carb dessert recipes that actually tasted good. I found a few online and tried them out but EWW! They were so gross and took so long to make! Feeling a little defeated, but mostly optimistic, I decided that if I couldn't use anyone else's recipes, I could make my own!! There was a TON of trial and error, but I was able to come up with a couple yummy treats that not only tasted good, but they were totally Keto friendly!!
Now that I had pleased my self, I had to test my desserts on the real critics...my kids...
And guess what? THEY ACTUALLY LIKED THEM!! My kids started asking me to make cupcakes every week and I didn't even feel bad about doing it! I brought my desserts to family parties and I didn't have any left over to take home!
I started trying even more desserts. I made cakes, cupcakes, even chocolate mousse! My entire world opened up because I was able to stop feeling the guilt of eating sweet treats! I was sticking to my keto diet, but I was still able to eat dessert!
Keto desserts that are actually good
It was the weight gain that really got me. No matter what I tried I couldn't overcome the cravings. I just wanted me and my kids to enjoy sweet treats without having to eat sugar. I'm finally able to eat dessert and not feel disgusting afterwards!
